(YSCC) -- The Southern Maine Community College Seawolves swept the YSCC Player of the Week awards this week. Amanda Brett takes home her second consecutive USCAA Player of the Week award.

Amanda Brett of the Southern Maine Community College is the USCAA Women's Division II and YSCC Basketball Player of the Week for the second straight week. Brett averaged 37 points and 13 rebounds last week for the Seawolves, as they notched two more conference wins against ranked top-20 teams, as ranked in the USCAA Coaches Poll. First, against University of Maine Machias, the sophomore had 34 points and 13 rebounds. From the floor she shot 14 for 28 and 6 for 10 from behind the arc. She then dropped 40 points against #18 ranked NHTI, where she added four blocks and three steals as well.

Cloutier totaled 37 points on 50 percent shooting to help SMCC to two conference wins last week. The senior captain was pivotal down the stretch at Machias making a lay-up to extend a two-point lead, knocking down free throws in the final minutes, and getting a dunk for the last play of the game to seal the victory. Cloutier went for 21 points on 10-19 from the field against #4-ranked USCAA NHTI on Thursday, Jan. 31 to put the SeaWolves in first place in the conference standings.
