YSCC Player of the Week - Week 7

(YSCC) - Happy Holidays to everyone! Southern Maine CC Seawolves players sweep the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and the Yankee Small College Conference Players of the Week. Here is the list of this week's YSCC Players of the week: 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Shea Pickering | Southern Maine CC | FR | G

Shea takes home this week's USCAA DII and YSCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. First-year guard Shea Pickering had a career day in SMCC's conference win over Vermont Technical College on Saturday, Dec. 18. Pickering tallied a monster double-double at 35 points and 20 rebounds (14 offensive) in 37 minutes of work. Pickering fired 55.6 percent from the field and added four assists and two steals to her totals.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Jack Pyzynski | Southern Maine CC | FR | G

Jack takes home this week's USCAA DII and YSCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. First-year guard Jack Pyzynski led the SeaWolves to two Yankee Small College Conference wins last week at Central Maine Community College and home against Vermont Technical College. Pyzynski averaged 15 points on 55 percent shooting and 63.6 percent from beyond the arc. He knocked down the go-ahead three-pointer to break a late-game tie at CMCC and netted a career-high 21 points on an efficient 8-11 FG, 5-6 3PT vs. VTC.
