YSCC Week 9 Players of the Week

(YSCC) - Yankee Small College Conference is proud to announce this week's Players of the week, including another YSCC player capturing the United States Collegiate Athletic Association DII Basketball Player of the Week. Here is the list of this week's award winners. 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Tara Flanders | Southern Maine CC | SO | F

Seawolves sophomore captain Tara Flanders wins this week's USCAA DII Women's Basketball and the YSCC Player of the Week. Last week, Flanders helped lead the Lady SeaWolves to three conference wins, averaging 11.3 PPG and 9.0 REB/G spanning 19.7 MIN/G. Her efficiency was on full display against Paul Smith's College on Jan. 11 when she recorded 12 points, ten rebounds, six assists, three blocks, and two assists on 4-7 shooting.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Angel Oquendo | NHTI | SO | G

Angel scored 26 points in this week's only game for the 2nd ranked NHTI team. He was 12 of 18 from the floor and two for four at the line. He also grabbed four rebounds while adding two assists and three steals to his stat line
