YSCC and USCAA Players of the Week

(YSCC) - Yankee Small College Conference is proud to announce fall sports Players of the Week, including the second USCAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week. Here are this week's winners.

BASEBALL

Teddy Haniewski | NHTI | SO | IF/P

Teddy was outstanding on the mound. He carried a no-hit bid for his first college start into the 5th inning. He pitched a complete game shutout, allowing just five hits. It was the best 2-way performance played all season.

WOMEN'S SOCCER

Megan Lancaster | NHTI | FY | F

Lancaster has 6 points in her last two games despite the Lynx dropping those games. She is 2nd in the conference in scoring points. She has a killer, goal-scorers instinct to go along with speed and control. Lancaster has been a stellar striker for NHTI.

MEN'S SOCCER

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Briana Miranda | Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences

Briana is this week's YSCC and USCAA DII Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week. Briana finished 2nd overall at the 2022 Panther Open, completing the 6k course in a time of 26:36.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Trevor Kipp | Vermont Tech 

Trevor ran at the Albany meet on Saturday, ran the race with DII runners, and placed second ahead of several DII college runners. 

GOLF

Alex Leupold | Southern Maine CC 

First-year Alex Leupold fired a season-low 74 to lead the Seawolves to another first-place finish and rank #1 in the individual circuit at Purpoodock Golf Club on Sunday, Oct. 2.
