YSCC Players of the Week - Winter Week 5

Here are the Yankee Small College Conference Players of the Week for week five of the winter season.

Women's Basketball - Sage Fortin (UMA)

Sage Fortin delivered a milestone performance for Maine–Augusta in Week 5, scoring her 1,000th career point on Sunday against Word of Life. Fortin finished the game with 21 points, knocking down six three-pointers, while adding 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in 27 minutes of action.

Men's Basketball - Chance Mercier (SMCC)

Freshman guard Chance Mercier showed out for the Seawolves last week, averaging 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals over two starts. Mercier was a perfect 11-for-11 from the free-throw line, knocked down six threes, and made a strong impact on both ends of the floor.
