YSCC Players of the Week - Winter Week 12

Here are the Yankee Small College Conference Players of the Week for week twelve of the winter season.

Women's Basketball - Breanna Dwyer (CMCC)

Breanna Dwyer had a solid week helping CMCC pick up wins over USCAA #7 ranked Southern Maine and NJCAA #3 ranked CCRI. The first-year from Australia shot 4-for-8 for 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals against the Seawolves. She followed that up with an incredible 11 steals, 5 rebounds, and 13 points against the Knights. Dwyer continues to lead the USCAA with 4.9 steals per game.

Men's Basketball - Chance Mercier (SMCC)

Chance Mercier led the Seawolves last week, averaging 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game to claim his third YSCC Player of the Week award this season. He scored 46 total points over two games and added four steals. The Ellsworth, ME native also posted a 3.5 assist-to-turnover ratio across 74 total minutes. Mercier dropped 27 points in a conference win over USCAA #4 ranked CMCC, helping SMCC to a program record 13-game winning streak.
