YSCC Players of the Week - Spring Week 3

Here are the Yankee Small College Conference Players of the Week for week three of the spring season.

Softball - Shannah Parsons (UMA)

Shannah Parsons delivered a strong all-around week three performance for UMaine-Augusta, batting .529 (9-for-17) with five runs scored and five RBIs across four games. After moving into the leadoff spot, the freshman helped ignite the Moose offense, while also contributing in the circle with a complete-game win during the weekend.

Baseball - Elias Murray (UMA)

Elias Murray sparked the UMaine-Augusta offense from the leadoff spot in week three, batting .526 (10-for-19) across four games. The sophomore outfielder added three runs scored, three RBIs, and two extra-base hits.

Women's Track and Field - Kayleigh Simpson (ACPHS)

Kayleigh Simpson kicked off her track and field season with an impressive showing in the distance events, clocking a 5:57 performance in the 1500 meters at Ramapo College in a packed field of 53 NCAA runners. Her time ranks top-four nationally in the USCAA this year and stands as the top mark in the Yankee Small College Conference, highlighting a strong start to the season.

Men's Track and Field - Richard Serafin (ACPHS)

Richard Serafin opened his track and field season with a standout performance in the hammer throw, recording a mark of 34 meters at Ramapo College, to finish 17th overall in a field full of NCAA DI and DII competitors. The throw ranks third nationally in the USCAA and currently stands as the top mark in the YSCC.
