YSCC Players of the Week - Spring Week 4
Here are the Yankee Small College Conference Players of the Week for week four of the spring season.
Baseball - Jack Sullivan (YCCC)
Jack Sullivan powered York County CC to a 4-0 week, with all of their wins coming via run rule. Sullivan batted .538 (7-for-13) with three home runs, 10 RBIs, and nine runs scored, while posting a 1.231 slugging percentage. The third-year infielder and former All-Conference selection also reached a milestone, recording his 100th career hit in a win over NHTI.
Women's Track and Field - Ella O'Connell (ACPHS)
Ella O'Connell delivered a great performance in the high jump, clearing a personal-best 1.50 meters to place fourth overall at the Utica Pioneer Spring Invitational. The mark ranks second nationally in the USCAA and currently stands as the top mark in the YSCC. The sophomore from Highland Falls, NY also competed in the 4x100-meter relay, helping ACPHS finish third.
Men's Track and Field - Michael Plusch (ACPHS)
Michael Plusch turned in a standout performance in the long jump at Utica University, recording a personal-best mark of 6.32 meters for a fifth-place finish. His jump ranks second nationally in the USCAA and currently stands as the top mark in the YSCC. The freshman from Hoosick, NY also earned eighth place in the pole fault final.
