Mustangs Hit Century Mark in Win vs NHTI

Auburn, ME – CMCC Men's Basketball scored a season-high 100 points in their victory over Yankee Small College Conference rival NHTI. The Mustangs picked up their sixth straight win, 100-76, thanks to strong performances from a pair of freshmen. Creighty Dickson posted a career-high 19 points while Javion Jacobs finished close behind with 18. Khaden Moore recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Central Maine never trailed in the game, racing out to a 12-2 lead in the first four minutes. The hosts shot 47.2% in the first half, going up as many as 27 with 3:46 to go before halftime, after Jaden Williams hit a jumper to make it 42-15. Jacobs threw down two highlight reel dunks as part of his ten first-half points. The defense limited the Lynx to just 8-of-33 from the field to lead 47-28 at the break.

Coming out of the locker room, NHTI looked more comfortable. The visitors scored 48 points in the second half, and trimmed the deficit to as low as 12, but could not get within single digits. CMCC also raised its game over the final 20 minutes, shooting an even better 55.3% from the field and pouring in an additional 53 points. Both teams rotated plenty of players into the game. The Lynx had 11 different players finish with points while the Mustangs had 12 on the scoresheet.

Central Maine was dominant on the glass, outrebounding New Hampshire 58 to 24. Freshman guard Luke Jamieson joined Dickson, Jacobs, and Moore in double figures with 11 points, his third straight game scoring double digits. Jaden Williams chipped in nine off the bench. Will Duke finished with eight while J.T. Pound had seven, and Keiontay Marsh logged a game-high seven assists. Mossyah Nembhard led the Lynx's offensive efforts, as the 5'5" senior guard put up an outstanding 17 points.

The victory was CMCC's third straight against NHTI since suffering a loss in the 2024 YSCC Championship game. The Mustangs have scored at least 100 points in two of those three wins.

A busy November schedule rolls on with a visit from Berkeley College out of New York on Saturday, as part of a women's and men's doubleheader.
