USCAA Volleyball Bid Day Information
October 22, 2025 – The Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) is buzzing with excitement as the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has officially announced details for the 2025 USCAA Volleyball National Championship Division 2 Bid Day.
The YSCC holds an automatic qualifier spot in the USCAA National Championship tournament, a coveted bid that goes to the conference tournament winner. In addition to the auto-bid, several YSCC teams are in contention for At-Large bids based on their performance throughout the season and national rankings. YSCC Schools to keep an eye on in this announcement are Southern Maine Community College, Central Maine Community College, Paul Smith’s College, NHTI, and Word of Life.
Starting with Southern Maine CC, the Seawolves advanced to the YSCC Final Four on Tuesday evening with a 3-0 sweep of Great Bay CC in the YSCC Quarter-Final match. The Seawolves enter the YSCC Final Four with a record of 14-1 (10-0 YSCC) led by YSCC Player of the Year Meryk Lewellen, fellow All-Conference Team Member Dalia Nelson, and YSCC Coach of the Year Garrett Lewellen.
Central Maine CC will be awaiting the outcome on October 29th to see if they will receive an at-large bid to the USCAA National Championship. The Mustangs fell to NHTI on Tuesday evening in a close 3-2 match. The Mustangs, led by All-Conference Team selection Isabella Higgins and YSCC Honorable Mention Keliah Stith, have a 7-6 (6-4) record on the season.
NHTI advanced to the YSCC Final Four with their Quarter-final victory over Central Maine Tuesday evening with a score of 3-2. The Lynx improved their record to 7-5 (5-5), led by All-Conference Team Selection Emma Bernard. The Lynx will be hosting the YSCC Final Four and await to find out their opponent.
Paul Smith’s College will be facing Vermont State University – Randolph Thursday evening in the YSCC Quarter-Final match, the Bobcats enter postseason action with a 9-10 record (8-2), but having success in the YSCC, All-Conference Team Selection Finnley Jacobson and YSCC Honorable Mention Maddi Rhodes look to make the difference that puts Paul Smith’s into the YSCC Final Four on Sunday.
Word of Life advanced to their first-ever YSCC Final Four with their first-ever playoff victory over Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences Tuesday evening with a 3-0 sweep. The Huskies also clinched their first-ever winning season, now with an 11-6 record (7-3). The Huskies are led by All-Conference Team Selection Samantha Hey and Honorable Mention Hanna Fuerst as they look forward to Sunday’s YSCC Final Four.
